Glam Shells Shawl

It's finished. This is a very easy lace shawl pattern and it is free on Ravelry! I did this as part of a KAL in the Expression Fiber Arts group the main body is EFA's Sparkle Silk Fairy Rose Garden and the edge is Kraemer's Yarn Undyed Merino.

Z "This one is mine!"

Enjoy!

Elise Shawl

So instead of working on the various WIPs I have going, I decide to join Expresion Fiber Arts (EFA) Crochet Along (CAL).

I used EFA Resilient Superwas Merino Sock PRISMATIC.

It measured 36" x 17.5" before blocking.  I thought this will be a nice Shawlette/Scarf for over the shoulders.

I was amazed how much it grew when washed and blocked, 53" x 28.5". A nice summer shawl.

This project is a great for a weekend. It went quickly. My modification was 13 repeats of rows 5 & 6. I used every bit of one skein, 400 yds.

Happy Hooking! LOL

Monet Frenzied Follage

Grace Shalom Hopkin's book Roving, found on Etsy, is full of great ways to look at dyed roving and color.  These skeins were spun using Monet.

This is beautiful fiber from AJ's Handmade Creations on Etsy, Frenzied Follage.

Prep for Monet 1

Prep for Monet 2 - I did a better job carding and prepping the second time around!

This was a lot of fun to do. I am looking forward to trying some of her other techniques!

Tangerine Dream

This gorgeous roving is Burnt Orange from Taylored Fibers on Etsy. I chose to spin this random. Taking strips off in varying lengths then plying together from a center pull ball.

As I started spinning I thought this is Tangerine Dream.

It is a beautiful DK yarn

Happy Spinning!
